I did not move to Nashville because of the music industry. Unlike most transplants, I was not, nor am I now, involved in the music industry; however, my love of old country music and the appeal of a big city, so different from the "one stop light" town in rural North Florida where I grew up, offered me a place to spread my wings in 1997. I graduated Cum Laude from Florida State University with a Business Communications Degree and headed out to the ‘big city". So much has changed since then. Not only has our city boomed beyond imagination, so, too, has my life. I married, what now is as rare as a unicorn, a Tennessee native born and raised in Franklin, TN. We are the proud parents of a sweet boy, who is our world.
It is ironic that the main factor that drew me here, "the big small-town feel", is no longer a description of Nashville Tennessee. The exponential growth that I have witnessed and been a part of, is what I now LOVE about this city. It is also what keeps me living here. I have watched the transformation of downtown from a ghost town, (struggling to keep western boot shops open next to so many boarded up businesses), to one of the top tourist hotspots in the country. It is almost unrecognizable, with the packed triple decker busses, restaurants/bars, countless luxury hotels, Schermerhorn Symphony, Frist Art Museum, Ascend Amphitheater, etc. We even have our own sports teams, the Predators, Titans and the Sounds calling Nashville their home. I witnessed the excitement of the first of many modern downtown high-rise condominium buildings change our sky-line. I was even here before the ever so popular "hot chicken" craze began.
This growth has contributed so much energy and financial wealth to our town. It has created a bustling, fun, kind and worldly place to raise a family. Whether you are in downtown Nashville, at the lake in Hendersonville, or at a historic plantation in Franklin, this city offers so many joyful opportunities for everyone who visits or lives here. My family takes advantage of all our city has to offer. Don’t get me wrong, we love taking beach vacations and movie nights snuggled on the couch, but we love hitting the local festivals, sporting events, live music venues, parks, lakes and wineries. There is never a day that we couldn’t be doing something exciting in our new "IT" city. I feel so fortunate to have been lucky enough to be a part of the transformation personally and professionally.
During my time in Nashville, I began a 12-year medical sales career. I received numerous sales accolades and awards which led to me acquiring a keen business acumen. However, as I watched things begin to change around me, I recognized an opportunity to be a part of the change and not just an observer. It was time to jump in with both feet. With my experience, entrepreneurial spirit, love for helping others and love of this city, I felt led to the real estate industry. I became a licensed Tennessee Realtor in 2007. Since then, I have been helping others, along with myself, actualize dreams and build a secure investment portfolio. If you are a first-time home buyer looking for a starter home, a young professional wanting to live in a downtown high rise, a family who wants to live in a suburb, an investor looking for a flip or empty nester looking to downsize, call me for a confidential consultation.
I have the expertise to help you strategically make good decisions for your future. Besides making the dream of home ownership a reality, I also have a passion for developing and building new construction as well as renovating homes to maximize their value. Diversifying my real estate portfolio has created a secure financial place for my family. Whether I sell the homes, develop and build them, Airbnb them, long term rent them or even live in them, I do it all with a passion and long-term strategic goal in mind – to create a self-sufficient secure, lifestyle through real estate investments. Let me help create the same for you! If this small-town girl can do it, you can too!
